Hello,
Great site. I found it online by accident and as I was browsing I was shocked to
find pictures of the former Valley Music Theater (http://www.abandonedbutnotforgotten.com/20600_ventura_boulevard.htm).
I have a lot of fond memories being there when I was a child when the
Jehovah's Witnesses held meetings there.
Out of curiosity I was tempted to take a visit this afternoon only to find an
empty parking lot.
There was something about that place I can't really describe. I guess it's only
in my head. Thank you for providing the images as they are the only mirror to my
memory. I do have a question...I do not remember the long hanging tubes above
the ceiling and umbrellas around the center as displayed in your pictures. I do
know that it was a meeting place for special assemblies but they wouldn't
decorate the place like that. Was it a special event?
