Palace Amusements

To give you a little background, Palace Amusements is in Asbury Park, a town best known as the place Bruce Springsteen got his start. Formerly one of the premier vacation locations on the Eastern seaboard, Asbury Park has fallen on 30 years of hard times due in large part to a lot of political bullshit that I won't get into here.

Although there has been progress (if you can call it that) in recent weeks in the form of buildings been torn down, there are still many abandoned hotels and nightclubs standing, as well as a very weathered seaside ice skating rink. Unfortunately, the most interesting of the buildings, Palace Amusements, has been partially torn down. I was lucky enough to get the following photos about 15 years after The Palace closed its doors to the public. I've never heard stories of this place being haunted, but it was interesting nonetheless. Please excuse the quality of the photos, my scanner sucks.

An interior sign in pretty good shape (later partially stolen by vandals)
