This building is in Historic Downtown
Nacogdoches, the oldest town in
Texas. The building has
housed many businesses. In the early part of the
20th century a hair
tonic was produced there that contained arsenic and harmed some users. It
also housed a car dealership
on the
second floor. Customers would have to drive around the back of the
building up a ramp. At the time the pictures were taken a business was using
part of the first floor leaving the basement and top two floors abandoned. A
few months later that business moved out leaving the building completely
abandoned. |
